What this is
A positioning resource. It is not an article. It is meant to sit beside a personal home page, as the thing you send somebody who asks what I actually think. It is the first working example of the approach I set out in TRUST-able #91, Liquid Content: knowledge organised so it can be poured into more than one shape.
Where the material came from
Ninety issues of TRUST-able, published weekly at robingood.substack.com, plus the Curation Signals series. The issues were read into a local knowledge base built with The Curator, an open source LLM-wiki app by Dr Tali Rezun, which follows Andrej Karpathy's idea of letting a model compile your documents into an interlinked wiki. The positions below were pulled out of that wiki, then rewritten by hand.
How the twenty were chosen
Each one had to be a position I hold that runs against the common advice, and each one had to be traceable to an issue where I argued it at length. Positions I could not source to a published article were cut. Positions that turned out to be the same position wearing two hats were merged.
How the twenty-five were chosen
They are the people whose work changed how I work. Not the biggest names in the field, and not a reciprocal-links exercise. For each one the reason is written in the first person and says what I took from them, because a list of names proves nothing.
What is not here
No affiliate links. No sponsored entries. Nobody paid to be on this page and nobody was asked. Several people on it do not know I read them.
Verification
Every Substack link in the viewpoints section has been opened and checked. The people entries carry publication names rather than URLs, because the URLs have not been verified one by one yet.
When
Positions as of September 2026. I will revise this page rather than replace it. If something here stops being true, it gets changed, and the change gets noted.
